Many children on the Autistic Spectrum struggle with monitoring the level of their voice. This app is designed to give the child subtle but fun indication of their voice level.
A decibel (dB) meter shows the volume in a quantitative way for those children who learn best from numerical indicators. A graphic of a tree "blowing" from the noise gives a fun pictorial view of the same information for those children who prefer graphics. Dont let the tree blow right over!
The app also displays a score, indicating what percentage of time there has been sound in the "green" zone. This allows more competitive children to focus on keeping the score as high as possible.
Anonymous session information is written to a central database. In a future release, parents and carers will be able to use this to monitor their childs usage of the app, and whether they are improving on their scores.
